23 October 2018

Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Speaker: John Vincent, PhD Student at SBCS

In this psychology talk, SBCS PhD student John Vincent will give a very brief introduction to psychiatric disorders (specifically depression and anxiety), genetic and environmental factors involved and possible mechanisms that may contribute. After this introduction there will be a quick run-through of some relevant research (twin studies, stress reactivity and cognitive biases), highlighting both strength and weaknesses of research thus far. This will be followed by an overview of John's PhD research currently nearing completion and what the data has shown so far.

This seminar is open to all, no registration necessary.
