If you're not currently holding an offer to study at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), you might be able to join us through Clearing or Adjustment. We have a limited number of places on all degree programmes at the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences at QMUL, open to UK/EU and international students. Find out which programmes have spaces and which numbers to ring. This page will be updated throughout the day.
If you are interested in other programmes offered by QMUL which are not in the biological, biomedical or chemical sciences or psychology, go to the central QMUL site on Clearing and Adjustment.
When is Clearing?
Clearing is a service offered by UCAS that takes place between 5 July - 30 September. The main Clearing period begins on 17 August (A-Level results day).
You can use Clearing to apply for courses that still have available places if you:
- didn’t receive any offers (or none that you wished to accept)
- didn’t meet the conditions of your offer
- apply after 30 June.
What is Adjustment?
Adjustment is a service offered by UCAS that is available from 17 August - 31 August. It’s entirely optional, but offers the chance for applicants who have received better results than expected to look for another programme or university, whilst still retaining their current offer.
If you meet and exceed the conditions of your original firm choice, you will be able to register for Adjustment on UCAS Track.
I knew that my results hadn’t gone as well as I needed them to, so before Results Day I started looking up courses through UCAS and came across Queen Mary. It had everything that I was looking for in a university. Coming to Queen Mary was the best decision I ever made and I wouldn’t be here without Clearing
