BSc Biology with Psychology (C1C8)

The BSc Biology with Psychology degree is for students who wish to study psychology as a minor subject alongside whole organism biology. The programme covers theory and empirical work in the biological and behavioural sciences. Areas covered include skills for studying biology at degree-level study, evolutionary biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, introduction to psychology (cognitive and social), animal behaviour and cognition (including evolutionary approaches to human behaviour), animal physiology and neurobiology, microbiology, ecology and conservation, personality and individual differences, cognitive, social and developmental psychology. Students are taught using mixture of lectures, practical laboratory classes, workshops, field trips and small-group tutorials.

Programme structure

In BSc Biology with Psychology we have created a unique programme structure which combines the School's strengths in whole organism biology with new expertise in biological and experimental psychology.
