BBSRC LIDo Doctoral Training Partnership

Home | LIDo DTP

The London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme (LIDo) is the largest BBSRC funded Doctoral Training Partnership in the UK. Representing an exciting collaboration between eight of London's world-class universities and specialist institutions, the consortium provides students with a unique opportunity to pursue innovative interdisciplinary research projects in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant cities.

This 4-year programme is aimed at graduates with a strong interest in multi-disciplinary research. We invite applications from highly motivated students from a wide range of academic backgrounds including biological, biomedical, veterinary, physical, computational, engineering or mathematical disciplines.

As a member of this DTP, we offer the opportunity for students to complete their research project with our School. A list of example projects offered to previous cohorts can be found on the LIDo DTP website.

Eligibility and applying

The DTP is open to home and international students and covers tuition fees and a stipend at the London UKRI rate for 4 years.

For full details of the entry criteria and application process, please see the LIDo DTP pages on how to apply. Applications must be submitted through the LIDo website and not through the Queen Mary website.

Applications for 2024/25 academic year are now open with a deadline of 10th January 2024.
