Research success at SBCS

Results of the Research Excellence Framework, the official UK-wide assessment of university research, place Queen Mary in the top 10 for multi-faculty institutions, and SBCS shows itself to be one of the UK's elite research departments within the UK.

A record year for students

SBCS welcomed a record 693 undergraduate students in September 2014, almost twice the number of the previous record.  37 Masters students also joined the School, spread across six taught programmes.

Chemistry courses receive Royal Society of Chemistry accreditation

All our degree programmes in chemistry have recently been accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), enabling departments and institutions to engage further with industry and creating exciting exchange opportunities for students and researchers.
