Could this creature help mankind protect itself from cancer?

The Observer reports on naked mole-rats, the tiny mammals that “behave like ants and can live for more than 30 years” who have “captured the imagination of scientists” because they do not develop tumours. The Observer visited the labs at Queen Mary, where Dr Faulkes - who has worked with the creatures for some 25 years – discussed the mole-rats’ characteristics and behaviour as well as the evolution of his research.
