Circadian surprise: mechanism of temperature synchronisation in fruit flies

Published:

New research by Professor Ralph Stanewsky and his team in the SBCS at Queen Mary together with colleagues at Universität Regensburg, Germany, and University College, London has revealed that temperature may affect the body clock of the fruit fly. Ralph Stanewsky says: “Our work reveals surprising and important mechanistic differences between light- and temperature-synchronisation and advances our understanding of how clock resetting is accomplished in nature.” This story featured in Science Centric and the article can be found in Neuron.
