Can video games make you smart (or at least more flexible)?

University of Texas scientist Ark Markman discusses research by Dr Brian Glass and colleagues, in an article on whether video games can can make people faster at processing visual information. The study, published this year in PLoS One compared the effects of playing real-time strategy games to playing games that require no particular strategic thinking.
