Andrew Leitch talks about cloning and new technologies in agriculture

Published:

Andrew Leitch has been interviewed on the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2 and on Farming Today on  Radio 4 about the ongoing discussion concerning the use of cloned organisms in farming, and the necessity for new technologies in agriculture. “The world is facing agricultural crisis, which human kind has to face with urgency,” he said. “You can never respond to those massive challenges using subsistence farming and granny's allotments. The only way is to produce food efficiently and effectively on a massive scale. The choice, ultimately is to try to solve the problems or end up in impoverishment.”
