Psychology Seminar - Life-long behavioural effects of zebrafish embryonic exposure to organic mercury

5 February 2019

Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Speaker: Dr Lilah Glazer, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow
Venue: Fogg Lecture Theatre, Fogg Building

In this Psychology talk, Dr Lilah Glazer will present her work so far as a Marie Curie fellow at QMUL in Dr Caroline Brennan's lab. Dr Glazer will show how low-level developmental exposure to the widespread environmental contaminant methylmercury causes behavioural impairments in zebrafish that can be measured throughout their lives. In addition, she will briefly discuss how her data compares to findings in mammalian models and in humans.

This seminar is open to all, no registration necessary.
