Psychology Seminar - 'Gene-environment interplay in psychosis: A polygenic approach'

22 January 2019

Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Speaker: Judit Garcia-Gonzalez, PhD Student at SBCS
Venue: Fogg Lecture Theatre, Fogg Building

This talk from PhD student Judit Garcia-Gonzalez will present her current research on the interplay between genetic risk for mental disorders and smoking behaviour on psychotic-like experiences. This research, which uses polygenic approaches on large human cohorts, aims to identify genetic pathways and environmental factors that can be further investigated in animal models such as zebrafish.
